Vodafone announces new tariffs for contract customers

Business plan customers get up to 40 percent extra free minutes

Vodafone Malta Limited is again rewarding its contract customers with new tariff reductions. All Vodafone’s Business Plan customers are already automatically benefiting from substantial savings effective as from the first day of this month (November 2001). Amongst other benefits, Vodafone’s Business Plan customers who previously enjoyed 25 free minutes of talk time will now have a total of 35 minutes. This represents a bonus of 40 percent.
The call charging system has also been improved with reductions in the prices for all local calls for the second minute and all subsequent minutes. Vodafone’s Business Plan customers will therefore now pay the standard 11c5 on their first minute call. From the second minute onwards the new reduced all day call rate of 10 cents per minute will apply. These new rates also apply to data, fax and WAP services.
"Our new tariffs for Business Plan customers reflects Vodafone’s commitment to on providing the best service in Malta," said Mr Joseph C. Grioli, Managing Director at Vodafone Malta. "All our contract customers, both on Business and Personal Plan are already automatically benefiting from reduced tariffs."

Vodafone’s Personal Plan customers will also benefit from a new rate of 14 cents per minute during peak hours, from the second minute onwards. The peak rate for the first minute is 16 cents per minute. The monthly access fee has also been reduced from Lm6.50 to Lm6.00.
"These new tariffs represent substantial savings for Vodafone’s contract customers. This is not, however, all that Vodafone offers to its customers. WAP over GPRS is free of charge during pilot testing, For those who make greater use of our service there is also a 15% discount if their bill exceeds Lm25," continued Mr Grioli.
Over and above all the above-mentioned discounts, Vodafone Malta Ltd also offers further discounts and benefits for corporate clients who operate at least two mobile phones with our network, with relative discounts increasing according to the number of phones being operated.
