Direct reservations channel open to hoteliers

The Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association recently strengthened its ties with Lexington Services as its preferred hotel reservations provider. Lexington Services, a subsidiary of Travel Services International, Inc., is the largest provider of global hotel reservations in the United States and the second largest in the world.

Lexington’s system is expected to unify participating MHRA member establishments, as well as make them more accessible to tourists, considering Malta and Gozo as a possible tourist venue as well as to travel agents around the world.

Stuart Hill, Vice President of Lexington Services, has been invited and delivered presentations to both existing and potential members explaining in detail the benefits of forming part of the network.

The contact between Lexington Services and MHRA was signed during the World Travel Market in December 2000. Zolin Wilkins III, President of Lexington Services had said during the launch, "Lexington is honoured to have been chosen by MHRA. The MHRA members will have instant access on the Internet into our system. As a premier provider of hotel reservations, Lexington will successfully lead MHRA members into the 21st Century".
