                Maltacoms profits at Lm13.5m,
but Vodafone divestiture still a thorn in the side
                By
                Matthew Vella
A sober reminder of a sour quest. Maltacoms ongoing
divestiture of its twenty per cent stake in Vodafone Malta was
yesterday a cause of concern for Chairman Maurice Zarb Adami in
his concluding remarks for Maltacoms 2002 final accounts

One or two more new faces possible
                in Parliament
Casual elections for parliamentary seats can spring
surprises, but not many are expected in the elections that should
be held next week. There could be no new faces in parliament.
Speculation is, however, rife that certain PN parliamentarians,
including ministers and parliamentary secretaries, could contest
the Euro Parliamentary elections, attracted in no small measure
by the Euro100,000 yearly salary. READ

                Argentine government shake-up could
                offer hope to disgruntled investors
                By
                David Lindsay
The scores of Maltese investors who saw tens of millions of pounds
in investments become all but worthless with the collapse of the
Argentine economy may soon begin to see a ray of light at the
end of the tunnel with the recent appointment of a new Argentine
economy minister and a presidential run-off election scheduled
                for May.READ
