Air Malta starts operating to new airport terminals

Following Malta’s entry into the Schengen area air passengers travelling to or from Malta to other countries within the Schengen zone will be able to travel without having to go through the customary passport control.
Given the new circumstances Air Malta yesterday informed passengers that passengers would be boarding from different terminals in a number of airports around Europe.
Separate halls for arrivals from Schengen and non-Schengen countries at Malta International Airport have been introduced, and distinct boarding gates have been allocated to flights destined to non-Schengen areas.
As a result of Malta’s entry into the Schengen area Air Malta had also changed terminals/halls.
It is important to note that passengers must still carry passports or ID cards when travelling. These documents must be presented at check-in for proof of identity and may also be requested for security reasons.
