For the first time during its Quarterly Sales Seminars, Valletta Fund Management organised a live link-up with Rothschild Asset Management, its fund management partners in London who are responsible for the La Valette, Vihena and Wignacourt funds managed by Valletta Fund Management. During this conference call, over 50 Bank of Valletta employees attending the seminar had the opportunity to put forward their questions directly to Rothschild's investment advisors responsible for the asset allocations for these Funds. Amongst the speakers, Mr Chris Jenkins and his assistant, Mr Alex Illingworth spoke about the international and domestic markets. On the other hand, Mr David Ballance spoke on his views of the European Markets whilst Mr Philip Barleggs, who is responsible for the US Equity market, spoke on the outlook for the US market in the light of the recent market volatility. Speaking about the Seminar held at the Corinthia San Gorg, Mr Charles Borg, General Manager, Valletta Fund Management stated that "this initiative forms part of our efforts to enhance the value of our Quarterly Seminars and at the same time, give the opportunity to our employees engaged in the marketing and sales of collective investment schemes to discuss in an informal way their queries with our expert partners in London." Mr Kenneth Farrugia, Marketing Manager Valletta Fund Management gave
a presentation on the market conditions and performance of the Funds
during the last quarter. In particular, Mr Farrugia addressed the recent
volatility of the international and domestic markets. Mr Farrugia said

Valletta employees who are authorised by the MFSC to market and sell
Valletta Fund Management's range of international and domestic Funds
from the Bank's branches in Malta and Gozo. The agenda for the Seminar
confirms Valletta Fund Management's ongoing commitment to offer our
present and prospective shareholders, a consistent and professional
service."
