As part of their co-operation agreement, the Institute for the Promotion of Small Enterprise Ltd (IPSE) and the Bank of Valletta Group are offering IPSE clients access to the accumulated knowledge of experienced Bank of Valletta Group managers in a number of areas of financial management through the newly launched Financial Management Clinics. Through the Clinics, small business owners and managers will be able to discuss problems or issues they face in their general banking requirements, export finance and links to export marketing. The financial aspects of prospective Malta/EU relations and the potential opportunities offered by the countries in which the Bank of Valletta Group has representative offices - Libya and Tunisia - will also be addressed. This service offers IPSE's clients an opportunity to tap into the Bank's considerable experience in financial management and in assisting business. BoV is sponsoring the publication of a series of handbooks and brochures as well as directly supporting the Resource Centre with books and other material. The first set of new business books for the Business Resource Centre is now available for the IPSE clients and Resource Centre users. The development of the Institute's Business Resource Centre is of fundamental importance to restructure local SMEs given the challenges of a liberalised market environment. These Financial Management Clinics clearly demonstrate Bank of Valletta's commitment to reinforce the bank-client relationships, through a more informal and personalised service. Both IPSE and the Bank of Valletta group are committed to provide all the support necessary for small enterprises to operate efficiently and profitably. |
