The Malta Tourism Authority office in Frankfurt recently launched a major campaign in co-operation with leading German travel magazine, Travel Talk, which has a weekly circulation of 32,000 copies. The magazine has, in fact, adopted the promotion and marketed it under the title Travel Talk Goes Malta. The promotion featured full-page and double-age colour adverts over five weeks. The adverts promoted various aspects of Maltas tourism offer and promoted the message Malta ist etwas Besonderes (Malta is Something Special). Travel Talks December 2001 and January 2002 editions will also feature a number of articles on Malta. The campaign also included a competition whereby the winning travel agents had the opportunity to participate in a familiarization trip to Malta, organised with the collaboration of Air Malta and other tourism suppliers. The MTAs Frankfurt office said that the response to this promotion was "strong and positive" and that a number of other promotional events have already been confirmed for next year in Germany. |
