The Malta EU Information Centre has launched another publication informing the general public on the European Union. The latest booklet provides information on the euro for Maltese travelling to countries that have just introduced the euro currency. Now that the euro is a reality Maltese travelling abroad must become accustomed to it and the booklet is intended as easy reference and contains useful tips on how to use and deal with the euro. It provides information on the dates by when old currencies must be changed and also helps Maltese travelling abroad to recognise false euro notes by introducing them to the security features. On the back cover, the pocket-sized booklet has a quick reference table that converts the euro to the Maltese Lira. This makes the booklet ideal to be taken by Maltese travelling abroad. The booklet may be obtained free of charge from the Malta International Airport as well as from the offices of the Malta-EU Information Centre. |
