The Malta External Trade Corporation recently launched the fourth edition of the METCO International Marketing Awards, which has now become another important activity in the Corporations calendar of events. The emphasis of the International Marketing Awards is on the export marketing achievements of METCO users. Indeed, in today's global business environment, the crucial determining factor leading to long-term export success is, undoubtedly, successful and effective export marketing management. Marketing for export is not easy - it is a challenge and in some respects it is equivalent to trying to beat the odds. METCO Chairman Anthony Diacono explained that the METCO Marketing Award provides an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work that has been put in by companies operating in Malta. However, he adds, the Award not only pronounces the achievements of Maltese companies, but also serves as an incentive to others to intensify their efforts to exploit the global marketplace with products and services. Mr Diacono emphasised that there are rewards to be reaped in successful international markets and some of these rewards will be enjoyed by those whose efforts will be recognised in this edition of the METCO International Marketing Awards, as well as by future winners.
