To celebrate HSBCs one millionth direct credit transaction, Mr and Mrs Carmel Debono of Fgura have been presented with a weekend break at the Mgarr Hotel in Gozo as well as a copy of the publication The Temple of The Knights of Malta by Nicholas de Piro. Carmel J Farrugia, HSBCs Operations Manager, said; "Direct credit is an easy and efficient way for HSBC customers to conduct their transactions. Apart from salaries, a range of other payments can be credited directly to our customers accounts, including dividend payments and childrens allowance. Mr and Mrs Debono have taken full advantage of this hassle free system." Any company or organisation, which conducts its business through HSBC Bank Malta plc., may utilise the Direct Credit facility by making the relative arrangements with its branch. The Direct Credit service is currently offered free of charge. Payments using HSBC Direct Credit service can be made to any current or savings account denominated in Maltese Liri. Accounts can be held with any of the local banks on the island. |
