AD keeps up high profile campaign

Alternattiva Demokratika has kept up it high profile campaign and could play an important part in the next government if its messages are well understood.
AD Chairman Dr Harry Vassallo was excellent when he faced the media Monday explaining to the electorate why it has so much to gain from voting AD at the upcoming elections.
Despite the attempts of PN candidates and canvassers to confuse voters, AD’s voting directives are being better understood.
Dr Vassallo also declared those voting for AD should give their next preference votes to the PN to ensure EU membership.
Dr Vassallo also wrote to the Prime Minister to ask him to stop the spreading of false rumours about Malta’s electoral system. Dr Eddie Fenech Adami did not reply to the letter, which was featured in all the media.
That Dr Vassallo has now become the focus of attention was clear as AD’s billboards now feature his image. AD’s billboards re-enforce the call for no 2 votes and the idea that the EU is a national issue and that voters for EU membership could feel comfortable in the AD camp if they don’t want to vote for the other parties.
AD organised a press event about Gozo explaining how it would push for sustainable development on the sister island.
In its short history AD has been through thick and thin and this election will surely go down as one of its defining moments. It could be a make or break elections for the Greens as a disappointing showing could mean many within the party calling it a day. On the other hand if an AD representative is elected it could be the turning point that the party has always been waiting for and one that would change the face of Maltese politics forever. For those that want to continue seeing third party politics in Malta a vote for AD is essential.
