International Hotel Investments plc (IHI) announced that the 5 million Euro refurbishment programme of the five-star Corinthia San Gorg Hotel in St George’s Bay, St Julians, has been completed and the revamped hotel will be accommodating its summer arrivals in the newly furnished luxurious bedrooms.
The refurbishment programme commenced in November of last year and included the complete renovation of all 250 bedrooms, suites, lobby and corridors, as also the introduction of the latest information technology such as fast speed Internet, WIFI, integrated PMS system with express check-in and interactive TV.
The hotel’s management team has also been strengthened through a series of training courses and the introduction of an extensive Customer Relations Management System (CRM) that focuses on guest orientation and needs, thus helping to enhance the guests’ hotel experience.
Thanks to this large-scale renovation, the Corinthia San Gorg Hotel, which is operated by Corinthia Hotels International, has reclaimed its role as the leading five-star hotel in the popular St Julians area.
The 250-room Corinthia San Gorg Hotel first opened in July 1996, the first hotel in what has now become known as ‘The Golden Mile’. It has since acquired an excellent reputation for delivering a high standard of service and facilities to a wide spectrum of clientele, ranging from conferences and incentives to business travellers and discerning holidaymakers.
To add to the quality of its unique and tranquil location, the Hotel has extensive leisure facilities, including a number of cascading swimming pools surrounded by a large sun deck area, a health centre and numerous restaurants and bars.
With this latest refurbishment of the Corinthia San Gorg, the Company is again at the forefront of the development scene, investing heavily in the upmarket accommodation infrastructure of the island, aimed at satisfying the ever-increasing demand for the better quality hotels. |
