New gaming council board sets busy schedule

Following its first full Annual General Meeting held at the San Gorg Corinthia, the new board of the Malta Remote Gaming Council has set a busy schedule for the coming term. The immediate objectives of the new Board are to continue to tackle the challenges facing the Remote Gaming industry created by jurisdictions that are trying to block the free flow of online gaming services, the setting up of a pressure group to discuss with all relevant authorities on how to move ahead and ensure that remote gaming does not continue to be unjustly targeted.
The Board is now composed of Chairperson George Debrincat (Unibet); Vice-Chairperson Daniela Grioli (Primebet); Treasurer Kenneth Zammit (Totosi); Secretary Alan Attard (Atlas Sport & Games); and Members Pierre Mangion (NetX), Alan Alden (Deloitte & Touche) and Ian Curtis (Bell Med).
The MRGC represents the remote gaming companies licensed in Malta and those Service Providers, such as ISPs, consultants, banks and other service providers to the gaming industry. The main objective of the MRGC is to promote remote gaming in a regulated and responsible manner. Currently the MRGC represents approximately 75% of the locally licensed igaming companies.
