Alex Attard is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer for Malta Information Technology and Training Services (MITTS) Ltd.
Attard has been involved in the ICT Sector for a number of years both locally as well as overseas. In fact he arrives at MITTS Ltd after having held senior management positions with Verisign, and Booz Allen Hamilton, a major international management and IT consultancy firm based in the US. During his tenure in the US, he led assignments with major corporations in the US and Europe and was also responsible for the development and delivery of portal for a multi-million dollar e-government initiative. Throughout his career, both locally and overseas, Attard has worked on a number of high profile projects and initiatives, managed his own ICT organisation and gained vast exposure to business processes and different technologies.
Concurrently to the appointment of CEO, MITTS Ltd is also appointing Matthew Gatt to the position of deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer. Gatt’s last employment was that of director of corporate services with the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA). Prior to this Gatt held a number of other positions within the same and other local organizations.
David Spiteri Gingell, the outgoing CEO, will be non-executive chairman for a period of two years effective from 17 January 2007. |
