The Board of Directors of VISET Malta plc has announced the appointment of Mr Joseph Zammit Tabona as non-executive Chairman, with effect from 2nd July 2007. He succeeds Mr Joseph Grioli. Mr Zammit Tabona will assume the chairmanship of the company with particular responsibility for board matters and corporate governance.
Mr Zammit Tabona brings to his role extensive experience and his active involvement in both the public and private sectors in recent years have enabled him to develop a deeper understanding of the needs of all sectors of local industry.
In January 2006, he was appointed by Government as Chairman of the Malta Stock Exchange and as Chairman of FinanceMalta in May 2007. He is also Chairman of the Malta Accountancy Board since 2001.
In 2002 he was appointed Executive Director of the Malta Enterprise Board, and in 2003 was appointed Chairman of the Malta Development Corporation, the Malta External Trade Corporation and the Institute for the Promotion of Small Enterprise. Mr Zammit Tabona served as Chairman of Malta Enterprise Corporation between August 2003 and January 2006
Mr Zammit Tabona served as President of the Malta Federation of Industry between 1990 and 1992 and, between 2000 and 2003, representing FOI on the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development, the Malta External Trade Corporation, the Malta Development Corporation and the Institute for the Promotion of Small Enterprise. |
