BOV sponsors Strada 2008

The weekend of 11 July 2008 will see the atmosphere is South Street and Strait Street in Valletta livened up into a cultural hub with live music, exquisite food and fine wine. This year Bank of Valletta will be partnering with Strada 2008 as the main sponsor of this varied and interesting series of events.
The brainchild of Kris Fenech Soler and Edward Schembri, owners of establishments in South Street and Strait Street, STRADA 2008 serves as a catalyst to bring more culture and entertainment in our Capital City Valletta.
Karl Spiteri, Manager Corporate Branding and Quality at Bank of Valletta met the two organisers where he was briefed about the events that will take place during Strada 2008.
“As the leading patron of arts and culture in Malta, we are delighted to continue to extend our support to cultural activities taking place in the summer months within some of Malta’s more idyllic localities,” Mr Spiteri said. “BOV is this year supporting the Malta Arts Festival for the third consecutive year and we will shortly be announcing the programme for another edition of the popular BOV Streets Alive events. This year we are pleased to have taken over the main sponsorship of Strada thus consolidating our position as the main sponsor of summer cultural events and incorporating all the activities that are directed at enhancing the attraction of our capital city,” he concluded.
Speaking about Strada 2008, Mr Fenech Soler said: “The rustic walls of Strait Street will become an open-air art gallery featuring works by renowned local artists. The establishments in these two streets will take to the streets where customers will wine and dine al fresco enjoying these works of art and live music.”
Strada 2008 will be held from 11 to 13 July 2008 with events starting at 19:00.
