Mr Emanuel Said and Mr Lorenzo Mulè Stagno, directors of Allied Consultants Ltd. and associates for Henley Management College together with Prof. Reno Sammut the outgoing associate, attended an International Network Meeting at Henley on Thames in which various aspects of the MBA courses were discussed. Also on the agenda was the imminent merger with Reading University. It was confirmed that this merger would make little difference in operations and processes, but the awarding body of the Henley MBA would now be Reading University. The merger should also serve to take the Henley MBA world rankings, which are already high, to even higher levels.
Henley is one of the few business schools around the world that has achieved triple accreditation for quality from the leading professional bodies in the USA, Europe and the UK: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. The Henley MBA reputation was further enhanced by the world rankings obtained recently. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) last year ranked Henley’s Full Time MBA as 10th in the world, 5th in Europe and 2nd in the UK. This year the EIU, producing a ranking for distance-learning MBA for the first time, ranked the Henley MBA as 6th in the world, 4th in Europe and 2nd in the UK, making it one of only two business schools in the world to rank in the top 10 for both full-time and distance-learning MBA programmes.
Henley Management College, having been in existence for more than 60 years, is one of the oldest business schools in Europe and the first to be established in the UK. The college boasts some 30,000 alumni of which over 40 per cent come from outside the UK.
The Maltese associates expressed satisfaction not only with the outcomes of the various formal discussions at the International Network meeting, but also with the fact that they also had the opportunity to share personal and less formal views with other associates from various countries. These included countries as far apart as Finland, Trinidad and New Zealand, which shows the range of the Henley MBA presence in the world. Henley is present in some twenty countries covering all five continents.
