On Wednesday 27th August Marsovin Director of Marketing, Jeremy Cassar presented a cheque to Dr. Tonio Fenech, chairman of the Caravaggio Foundation.
Marsovin’s range of Caravaggio wines was launched last year with the aim of promoting the quality Maltese wines as well as Caravaggio’s masterpieces. The range consists of six different wines, 5 of which are D.O.K., Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Moscato, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz.
Out of goodwill and a veritable commitment towards the arts, Marsovin has agreed to donate a sum of money to the Caravaggio Foundation from every bottle of wine which Marsovin sells.
The Caravaggio Foundation is indeed privileged to have found the support and collaboration of the Marsovin Group of Companies over the years.
Marsovin’s achievements in promoting a culture of appreciation for fine wines have led to a particular collaboration with Marsovin developing a line of wines dedicated to Caravaggio by special appointment to The Caravaggio Foundation, as a result of which the Foundation enjoys financial contributions.
These contributions are being utilized to support the Foundation’s ongoing activities, such as the recent study and restoration work, in collaboration with SACI Florence, on a painting depicting The Martyrdom of St Catherine found in Zejtun as well as supporting the publication of a book on the relevant research findings.
Marsovin has supported the local arts scene for some time now. Over the years it has embarked on many a project to help individual artists as well as the Maltese in general.
The support which Marsovin gives to the Caravaggio Foundation is proof yet again of its commitment to the arts. It is only through initiatives like these that art world can hope to grow in Malta. |
