Winner of the Pantene Hair of the Year announced

Ilona Attard is the winner of the second edition of the Pantene Hair of the Year Search held this year. The final selection was held at a gala event at the Merkanti Beach Club, Hilton recently, hosted by popular TV personality Andrea Cassar. Runners up Mariosa Caruana placed second and Rachel Gauci placed third.
The twelve finalists were voted on their hair, skin, smile and general appearance by a panel of five judges including Procter & Gamble representatives and representatives from Pantene local importers and distributors VJ Salomone Marketing Ltd.
This year’s Search for the Pantene Hair of the Year rides on the great success of the first edition held last year which saw over 300 girls applying for the competition. The search was announced with a big bang during this year’s Malta Fashion Awards held in May at the MFCC, alongside the unveiling of the new Pantene Full Spectrum Shine range which, in accordance to Pantene’s creed, delivers absolute shine and star quality hair!
For six weeks, local model scouts Carina and Ben Camille scouted for potential Pantene women at parties, in supermarkets and even on the beaches. The scouts were looking for certain qualities that set participants apart from the rest, a quality that undeniably made them shine. Naturally great shiny hair was a must and all the finalists certainly had that! Whether straight or curly, blonde or brunette, they all had hair that enabled their inner self to shine through.
The finalists were announced nine weeks ago during which time the public could also vote online at www.models.com.mt, attracting a staggering 3,085 votes. Ilona will be the face of the next local Pantene advertising campaign. She has also won a year’s contract with models.com.mt, a spa weekend for two, a sterling silver lariat with acquamarine crystals and a year’s supply of Pantene Full Spectrum Shine.
The Pantene woman knows that as long as her hair is looking beautiful she will feel beautiful. Her hair is perfectly shiny allowing the best of her to shine though. So watch this space as the winner of the second Pantene Hair of the Year search Ilona Attard shines on until the next search.
