Confined Space Apparatus A conference on Confined Space Apparatus organised by Suiga Ltd. was held at the Westin Dragonara Resort in November, 2000. The conference commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Ray Agius, Managing Director of Suiga Ltd. The conference was very well attended. Mr. Ray Agius spoke about the number of people that lose their lives all over the world every day, while working in confined spaces. He mentioned the fact that many are seriously injured due to toxic fumes, which are the most common causes of death, but also drowning in free flowing solids, such as grain silos and fire and sometimes explosions. All this is brought about by the lack of proper equipment and good safety measures, he said. | ||||||
