IHI slides by 4c, BoV by 3c1

Since the close of trading last Friday, International Hotel Investments has witnessed the largest fluctuation in closing price so far this week. IHI shares depreciated by Lm0.04 and now stand at Lm0.85. Yesterday saw 3,746 shares being traded in five deals at an average, high and low of Lm0.85. This week’s total trading so far in the equity has amounted to 4,746 shares changing hands in seven deals.

Bank of Valletta shares, meanwhile, have also depreciated – by Lm0.031 and now rest at Lm4.949. Trading carried out in the equity yesterday amounted to 6,155 shares changing hands in 14 trades. The equity yesterday attained an average price of 4.951, a high of Lm4.954 and a low of Lm4.949. Meanwhile, trading so far this week has amounted to 6,693 shares being traded in 16 deals.

Similarly, Maltacom’s share price has fallen by Lm0.25 since the close of trading on Friday and now stands at Lm2.575. Trading carried out yesterday in Maltacom shares amounted to 49,968 shares changing hands in 27 trades at an average price of Lm2.573, a low of Lm2.556 while reaching a high of Lm2.599. Trading so far this week has been subject to a high volume and has presented itself in the form of 62,073 shares being exchanged in 37 deals.

HSBC shares have remained stable so far this week in their closing price of Lm6.90. Trading carried out yesterday in the equity amounted to 20,400 shares changing hands in three deals. The equity yesterday reached a high of Lm6.76, an average of Lm6.76 and a low of Lm6.75. Yesterday’s trading constituted the whole of HSBC action so far this week.

Lombard Bank’s share price has remained constant at Lm4.85 as no trading has been carried out this week.

Middle Sea Insurance’s share price has appreciated by Lm0.01 between closes Friday and yesterday. The equity now rests at Lm4.06. Trading carried out yesterday in the equity amounted to 4,606 shares changing hands in two deals at an average, high and low of Lm4.06. Yesterday’s trading accounted for the whole of trading in this equity so far this week.

Suncrest Hotel shares have also stood their ground during the time frame, as far as their closing price of Lm0.70 is concerned. The last trading the equity witnessed was also on 18 September when 1,283 shares were exchanged in two trades.

Simonds Farsons Cisk’s share price has added a mere Lm0.001 to its closing price so far this week and now rests at Lm0.891. Trading carried out yesterday accounted for 1,500 shares being traded in one deal at an average, high and low all of Lm0.891. Trading totals this week amount to 4,711 shares being traded in three deals.

Plaza Centres Ltd., however, has managed to stand its ground in its closing price of Lm0.89, which now stands at Lm0.89. While no trading was carried out in the equity yesterday, trading so far this week has accounted for 9,400 shares changing hands in five deals.
