Contracts Department
The Director of Contracts notifies that sealed tenders in respect of the following advertisements will be received on the days and dates indicated below. Tenders are to be dropped in the Tender Box of the Department of Contracts, Notre Dame Ravelin, Floriana:
Up to 10.00 a.m. on Thursday 14th June, 2001, for:
CT 167/2001. Supply, delivery and fixing of decorative outdoor lampposts for St Julians Promenade (St Julians Embellishment Project) - Works Division. A fee of Lm10 will be charged for each copy of tender document.
CT 168/2001. Construction of an Adult Training Centre at the Cottonera Family Resource Centre, Vittoriosa - Works Division. A fee of Lm20 will be charged for each copy of tender document. The relative drawings can be collected from the Chief Draughtsman's Office, Block A, Works Division, Floriana, between 8.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon and against the necessary payment of Lm4 for a copy of drawing.
CT 180/2001. Provision of incontinence diapers and pads for senior citizens and persons with special needs - Department for the Welfare of the Elderly.
CT 181/2001. Restoration and cleaning of Palazzo Parisio, Valletta - Works Division. A fee of Lm15 will be charged for each copy of tender document. The relative drawings can be collected from the Chief Draughtsman's Office, Block A, Works Division, Floriana, between 8.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon and against the necessary payment of Lm2 per copy of drawing.

Up to 10.00 a.m. on Tuesday 11th September, 2001, for:
CT 166/2001. Construction of new roads for a Grade Separated Intersection near the New Hospital at Tal-Qroqq. A fee of Lm30 will be charged for each copy of tender documents.
Tender documents are obtainable on application from the Department of Contracts, Notre Dame Ravelin, Floriana, Tel. 220212, Ext. 128 or on any working day between 8.30 a.m. and noon.
The public may attend during the opening and scheduling of tenders at the time and dates specified above.
The Director of Contracts notifies all tenderers that in terms of Clause 5(2) (k) and the Third Schedule of the Public Service (Procurement) Regulations 1996 recommendations made by the General Contracts Committee for the award of public contracts will be given publicity in the Department of Contracts' notice board every Wednesday and Friday after 12.00 noon. Tenderers may also obtain this information by utilising the polling facilities on fax number 226156.
Any tenderer who may feel aggrieved by any such recommendation must submit his official complaint to the Director of Contracts within not more than three (3) working days from the date of such publication and in accordance with paragraph (2) of the Third Schedule of the said Regulations which lays down in detail the procedure to be followed in such a case. All tenderers should, therefore, familiarise themselves with the provisions of this Schedule.

The Director of Contracts notifies for general information that the date and time for the presentation of offers for the above mentioned advert is being extended up to Thursday, 21st June, 2001, at 10.00a.m.
Land Department
The Commissioner of Land notifies that:
Sealed tenders in respect of the following advertisements have to be dropped in the Tender Box at the Land Department, Auberge de Baviere, Valletta by 10.00 a.m. on Thursday, 31st May, 2001.
Advt. No. 46. Lease, tale quale, including all latent defects, of premises No. 53, Triq Sant'Anna, Floriana, shown edged in red on plan L.D.200/99. Tenderers are to state purpose of lease. Successful tenderer shall be bound to make all necessary repairs in the premises, and should the overlying property be deemed to be vacated until such works are carried out, all expenses in connection with these repair works, and the provision of alternative accommodation shall be borne exclusively by him.
Advt. No. 47. Sale of a site at Triq Duru, Nadur, Gozo, shown edged in yellow and marked 'B' on plan L.D.356/90. Tenders are to be accompanied by a bid-bond for an amount of Lm500 as stipulated in the tender conditions.
Advt. No. 48. Sale of a site at Triq Duru, Nadur, Gozo, shown edged in red and marked 'D' on plan L.D.356/90. Tenders are to be accompanied by a bid-bond for an amount of Lm1,000 as stipulated in the tender conditions.
Advt. No. 50. Lease, on a six monthly basis, of a pill-box, with surrounding land, in the limits of Zabbar, shown edged in red on plan P.D.163_2000. Tenderers are to state purpose of lease.

Tenders should be made only on the prescribed form which, together with the relevant conditions and other documents are obtainable from the Land Department, Auberge de Baviere, Valletta, on any working day between 8.30 a.m. and 11.45 a.m. A fee of Lm5 will be charged for each copy of tender document. Payments are to be made only by cheque or money order. Tenders are only valid if they bear the official stamp of the Department.
