Volksbank Malta chooses TAS Group as its Swift Service Bureau

TAS Group, specialising in software solutions for electronic money, payment systems and financial markets, was chosen by Volksbank Malta (Volksbank Group) to provide them with SWIFTNet connectivity and support services through its Swift Service Bureau.
TAS Swift Service Bureau will provide Volksbank Malta with a highly resilient and secure connection to SWIFTNet operated by certified SWIFT technicians that will enable the bank to make substantial infrastructure and operational cost savings.
“After carefully evaluating costs and benefits, we selected the TAS Swift Service Bureau because of our profitable long-term relationship that we established in 2003 for the initial set¬up of our SWIFTNet infrastructure -says Mr Herbert Skok, Managing Director of Volksbank Malta – We consider TAS a reliable business partner and this consideration was the main factor leading to the decision to outsource the Bank’s SWIFT infrastructure.. The Service Bureau option delivers an effective competitive advantage in terms of business continuity, levels of service and operational costs. It gives us the assurance of SWIFT certified experts and offers the full range of SWIFT Products and Services.”
When we started the new TAS Swift Service Bureau – says Guido Pozzoni, Head of TAS Group Payment Systems Unit – we wanted to be able to pass on significant cost savings to our customers and at the same time offer them a superior production and disaster recovery infrastructure for their SWIFTNet related operations. We are proud of the Volksbank Malta choice and our commitment is to continue delivering our promises in supporting our customers to take the best from the SWIFT network and services.”
TAS Group provides SWIFTReady Services and has developed industry recognised expertise and delivers its consultancy services with SWIFT Certified Experts for implementation and integration projects in addition to related services in system integration, general consultancy, and system care for customer specific configurations. These extra offerings complement the TAS range of SWIFT products and services, presenting synergistic effects to many SWIFT customers.
TAS is constantly undergoing new SWIFT certifications: TAS solutions have been certified SWIFTReady for Cash Reporting – both Provider and User, and for SEPA Credit Transfers.
