Ryanair announces new Malta-Leeds route

Low cost airline Ryanair yesterday announced its twelfth route from Malta. From 25 March 2010, the airline will offer a double weekly service (Thursdays and Sundays) to Leeds Bradford, connecting the Mediterranean island to the North of England.
Ryanair already offers eleven low cost routes from Malta to UK - Edinburgh, Bristol and London-Luton, Spain - Madrid and Barcelona, Italy - Pisa, Bari, Venice and Trapani, Ireland - Dublin and Sweden - Stockholm.
“We’re delighted to be announcing this new route to Leeds Bradford, Ryanair’s twelfth route from Malta,” said Ryanair spokesperson Ida Buonanno. “Ryanair will continue to grow as other airlines pull routes and reduce capacity. With passengers becoming increasingly price sensitive, Ryanair will continue to expand so that even more passengers can take advantage of Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges.”
Ryanair is offering 1 million €5 seats for travel across its European network for travel in October and November which are available for booking on www.ryanair.com until midnight Thursday 13 August.
“We are sure these seats will be snapped up fast, so we urge all passengers to book them now,” Buonanno said.
