Levy
removals on food staples to begin next month
By July 2003 levies on a wide spectrum of foodstuffs
and staples will have dropped by 30 per cent. This reduction will
be staggered and will occur in three stages. The first reduction
of ten per cent will take place on 1 September 2002.

software contract for Maltese company
Seasus Ltd, a leading web and software development company
recently signed a contract with Global e-Mobile Ltd, a UK based
software company which markets its Usentric online proxy solution
to established brands in the retail, financial services and telecoms
sectors.
Economic
growth expected to continue
In its latest Business Perceptions Survey, the Central
Bank of Malta has found that Maltas business players expect
the countrys economic growth to continue recovering over the
rest of the year thanks mainly to a bolstering of export
activity from Maltas manufacturing sector.
