E.U. Project - MEDA - National Pre-Accession Programme 2002 for Malta

This is only a forecast notice for a services contract.

A Restricted Tender is scheduled to be published around February/March 2003 for the Supply of Technical Safety Management Information System for the Malta Maritime Authority.

Contract Description: The development, installation, commissioning, training and service/support of a Technical Safety Management Information System (TSMS) software providing quick and accurate data and performance monitoring of all safety aspects related to Malta flag vessels and useful as a management tool for decision making, assessment of safety risk and targeting inspections of vessels and overall improvement of fleet safety. In addition the TSMS will be utilised for Port State Control purposes. The TSMS must seamlessly integrate with existing systems, namely Ship Registration, Financial and Document Management and include facilities for data retrieval, report generation, document imaging/management and extended communication facilities (via telephony systems and the WEB).
