Chinese business delegation to visit Malta

The Chinese Ambassador to Malta, H.E. Yang Guirong said he was impressed by the set-up and the success of the self-management policy being adopted by the Mosta Technopark Tenants Association. His remarks were made during a recent visit to the Mosta Technopark.

Mr. Henry J. Borg, Mosta Technopark Tenants Association Chairman, welcomed Ambassador Guirong and gave a brief outline of the way the Mosta Technopark has evolved since its inception in 1994. Mr Borg also spoke about the self-management policy adopted for the past 18 months.

During a meeting with the MTTA Committee, H.E. Guirong said he was intrigued by the tenants’ success to date. He also expressed a wish for the Technopark to be included in bilateral business negotiations with the private high-powered Chinese delegation which is expected to visit Malta in the coming months. Ambassador Guirong concluded his remarks by reiterating his desire to encourage further business between Maltese and Chinese entrepreneurs.

In his reply to Ambassador Guirong’s comments, Mr. Borg said that the MTTA will offer all the necessary assistance to facilitate communication. There are already six tenants who have expressed interested in delving further into the possibility of doing business with Chinese entrepreneurs.

"As MTTA, we are not only working to promote more business deals, but also strive to export our expertise and increase the value added to our national potential."

Mr. Borg thanked Ambassador Guirong for visiting the Mosta Technopark, and supported H.E.’s efforts in fostering business relations with like-minded associations.
