BOV Marsa branches to merge
Bank of Valletta announced yesterday that the operations
of its branch at Bridge Wharf, Marsa, will be merged with those of the
recently modernised and enlarged branch premises located at Racecourse
Street in Marsa. The merger, which will be taking place in the near
future, completes the Banks operational plan for the locality of Marsa.
The process involved the purchase of new premises at Racecourse street
with the objective of building a branch to the highest customer service
standards and that is centrally located as merits such an important
locality.
The BOV Branch at Racecourse Street Marsa extends over two floors. On
the ground floor, customers can avail themselves of cashiering and local
banking services. The first floor is dedicated to private banking services
and to business banking. This layout is specifically designed to allow
for the provision of a personalised service to customers in a private
environment.
The Branch is also equipped with a Cashlink ATM as well as Night Safe
facilities and Safe Deposit Lockers.
In view of the merger, the human resources complement at the Racecourse
Street branch is being strengthened with the addition of a number of
employees currently deployed at the Bridge Wharf branch. The Branch
will also be in a position to offer a range of Investment Advisory Services
including Private Banking, Stockbroking, Fund Management and Life Assurance.
Over the coming weeks leading up to the effective date of the merger
in December 2003, customers currently using BOV's services at BOVs
Bridge Wharf Branch are being informed on a personal basis of these
developments and are being assured of a seamless transition process
which will result in a higher quality service being placed at their
disposal.
