stop visit to Malta last week, Hong Kong Trade Development Council Regional
Director for Western Europe Raymond Yip was adamant that trade between
Malta and Hong Kong holds great potential for growth and that further
synergies can be developed between the two islands.

gross earnings up 7.8 per cent, six month arrivals up 2.9 per cent

According to statistics released by the National Statistics Office
yesterday, gross earnings from tourism for the first six months of the
year reached Lm112.3 million - an increase of Lm8.1 million, or 7.8
