HSBC Malta Property Expo 2010 launched

Duplex Real Estate Branding last Friday launched the second edition of the HSBC Malta Property Expo, to be held at The Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali from 4 to 7 March 2010.
With such a dynamic property industry in Malta, it was only a matter of time until a professional event was organised to bring together everything related to real estate under one roof. This happened for the first time in February 2009, when the first HSBC Malta Property Expo was organised at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali. The first Expo attracted no less than seventy-three Maltese and foreign developers, estate agents and other related exhibitors, who all reported excellent feedback after the event. More than six thousand people visited the Expo, comprising mostly residential or holiday home buyers as well as individual and corporate investors. Many visitors availed themselves of the attractive deals on offer and concluded sales during the event or in the weeks thereafter. During the Expo, trade professionals and the general public participated in the various interesting seminars and property auction and visited the architecture exhibition held during those three days.
The main objective of the organisers for next year is to exceed the success of the first edition.
“We plan to outdo the impressive achievements we attained this year. We know it’s not going to be an easy task, but we’re up for the challenge,” said Mr Keith Pillow, managing director of Duplex Real Estate Branding at the launch. The marketing budget is being increased with a higher spend going on foreign media in an effort to attract more buyers from overseas. At the launch, the company also revealed the updated Expo website, where prospective exhibitors can obtain information and application details. Seminars, auctions, competitions and sophisticated food stalls will complement the comprehensive setup, with many innovative surprises in store for the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to see hundreds of properties all under one roof, meet with developers and agents, banks, interior designers and other professionals in the industry, and also attend related events such as property auctions, seminars and sideshow exhibitions.
During the launch, Dr Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and Information, mentioned the need to strike a balance between development and sustainability through a process which engages all interested parties, among whom are property developers.
