Euro-Partnership initiative in the Mediterranean

Prime opportunity to develop links and co-operation

Maltese companies will very soon have a golden opportunity to discuss Euro-Mediterranean partnerships with several hundred carefully selected counterparts from Italy and 60 other countries from Europe and the Mediterranean.

The event is the 23rd edition of "Europartenariat", an EU-sponsored initiative that will be held in Palermo between 3 and 5 December.

The participating ‘host’ companies will be comprised of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) drawn from all industrial sectors in Italy's ‘Mezzogiorno’ - including Sicily and Sardinia. A catalogue featuring their profiles and co-operation proposals is available free of charge while information on the event may also be obtained by visiting the web site: www.europartenariat.it.

Maltese entrepreneurs have the opportunity to pre-select the companies with whom they would like to meet and discuss business co-operation opportunities.

The Europartenariat business event regularly attracts about 2,000 visiting companies from more than 60 countries. The details of the visiting companies are also available on the web site and Maltese participants will be able to pre-book business meetings in advance of the event with these companies. Once the Maltese companies are officially registered, their company profiles and co-operation proposals will be featured on the web site alongside the other visiting companies.

This makes the event an ideal venue to discuss international business co-operation and proposals for partnerships and strategic alliances with SMEs from all over the Europe, the Mediterranean, and beyond.

The EICC, which acts as Malta's ‘National Counsellor’ for the Europartenariat, is organising the delegation of Maltese companies taking part in the event. There is no participation fee. The only expenses visitors have to bear are those relating to travel and accommodation, and the EICC also provides the logistical assistance.
