GS1 2009 Saudi Symposium

GS1 Saudi Arabia recently hosted a symposium in 2009 in cooperation with the Council of Saudi Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.
GS1 is a non-profit organisation driven by the business community, working in close co-operation with all industries including manufacturers, retailers, supermarkets, exporters, importers to guide them on international standards.
GS1 Saudi Arabia CEO Eng. Omar Bahlaiwa and MEMA regional co-ordinator David Calleja Urry delivered speeches at the event.
Mr Calleja Urry emphasized the importance of GS1 standards in the industry as these coud “help to reduce the complexity in supply and demand chain processes.”
