Pendergardens awards contract to Panta Contracting Limited

Pendergardens has awarded a contract to Panta Contracting Limited, for the supply, installation and commissioning of building services for the first phase of the prestigious Pendergardens development in St Julian’s, which consists of two levels of private car park and 120 apartments in 6 blocks. The contracted works include ventilation systems and lighting for the car park, the power and fire fighting systems as well as all infrastructure, mechanical and electrical systems required for the apartments in Phase 1.
As part of its energy conservation awareness programme, Pendergardens Development will be dedicating about 75 sq m of prime roof space for the installation of photovoltaic solar panels by Panta Contracting Ltd. These panels, rated at 5 kW peak, would be able to generate about 8,250 kWhr of electrical power annually, which would otherwise need to be generated by the local power stations. Such a “green” measure will go a long way to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, caused by the burning of non-renewable fuels at the power stations, by at least 7.2 metric tons annually.
Edmund Gatt Baldachino, Chairman, Pender Ville Ltd said: “Yet again, Pendergardens has shown its commitment to quality by appointing a reputable firm to carry out the infrastructural works. Structural works on Phase 1 are progressing rapidly and now we are eagerly looking forward to moving into the fit-out stage.”
Mr Henry Attard of Panta Contracting Limited, which forms part of the Panta Lesco Group of Companies, added: “We will be employing our commitment and expertise to produce the best works that meet the very high standards of quality set by Pendergardens. We are very pleased to be able to add Pendergardens to our track record of successes.”
‘Pendergardens’ and ‘The Exchange’ are exclusive urban developments showcasing the best in modern architecture, design, quality living and open spaces. The project boasts of a mix of exclusive apartments, studios, penthouses and villas, in both low and high rise buildings, in a highly sought after location, whilst ‘The Exchange’ – a first ever Financial and Business Centre is set to becoming an all-inclusive hub for the financial services sector in Malta. The Exchange will also create a much needed town centre.
