Government announces €100m stock issue

The Accountant General yesterday announced the issue of €100 million government stocks, subject to an over-allotment option of an additional €20 million on Wednesday 5 August.
The price for each stock shall be established on Friday 31 July and announced to the Malta Stock Exchange, published in the media.
The issue closes on Saturday 8 August at noon for applications by any single or joint applications which do not exceed €100,000 per person and Tuesday 11 August at noon for applications in the form of sealed bids (auction). Bids may also close earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General.
The allotment results of each stock for sealed bids (auction) will be determined and announced within two hours after the closing time of applications by auction.
Application forms may be obtained from and lodged at all members of the Malta Stock Exchange and other authorised Investment Service Provider. Application forms may also be downloaded from the Treasury website.
