The Enterprise Europe Network – Malta and Malta Enterprise, in collaboration with Cippitani Di Giacchino Iozzolino, and EU CORE (Italy), are organising two info-days on FP7 on March 17-18.
The first info-day shall focus on preparing and submitting successful FP7 proposals. Participants shall be informed on how to exploit the funding opportunities in FP7, and the skills required to prepare a successful application. The four main FP7 specific programmes - Cooperation, Capacities, People (Marie Curie) and Ideas (the ERC) – shall be covered, together with the main functionalities of CORDIS website, and useful hints and tips on proposal writing. The evaluation criteria and evaluation process will also be explained to the participants. Networking sessions shall be held in the second part of the event in order for Maltese companies to network with the Italian companies attending. Maltese companies are encouraged to participate in this event aimed at facilitating the networking needed to form a consortium.
The second info-day provides an in-depth training designed to assist participants develop the understanding required to interpret and implement FP7 financial regulations in the daily management of their projects. The course targets specifically the needs of professionals and project managers who are involved in the management of FP7 projects, both in the private and public sector. This info-day can be an effective tool to help participants to manage projects successfully as well as further develop their internal project management strategies. It can also provide a good opportunity to network and share good practices.
The sectors targeted include: ICT, Energy, Environment, Biotechnology, Health, Nanotechnology, and Media.
Malta Enterprise offers an Exploratory Award Scheme intended to stimulate the capacity of SMEs to participate in such projects. Malta Enterprise assists businesses overcome the barriers and challenges faced in developing proposals in order to enhance SMEs participation in submitting successful proposal submissions. Through these programmes, SMEs can strengthen their overall position through networking and relationship building with international partners, enjoy access to research centres of excellence, and develop research and innovation skills. The Exploratory Award Scheme will cover 60 per cent of the total eligible costs of the preparatory proposal up to a maximum of €10,000.
